About Snowmass Village
Snowmass Village is a mountain resort town in Pitkin County, at the base of the Snowmass Ski Area. The Brush Creek Valley was settled around 1910 by ranching families including the Sinclair, Melton, Stapleton, and Hoaglund families, long before skiing defined the place. Today the village is visually framed by mountains such as Burnt Mountain and by the ski slopes above town. Snowmass Village feels purpose-built for outdoor life: skiing, summer trails, condos, hotels, and a quieter alternative to nearby Aspen.
