South Congaree, SC

South Congaree is a Lexington County town in the Columbia metropolitan area, established in 1957 near Columbia Metropolitan Airport. The 2020 census counted 2,377 residents. Congaree Elementary sits beside Town Hall and the town community park, where basketball, playground, and picnic space provide a clear civic center. Lexington District Two carries the school connection beyond the town boundary, so the local map reaches into the surrounding communities. South Congaree–Pine Ridge Branch of the Lexington County Public Library is on Sunset Drive.
