Spencerport, NY

Located just west of Rochester in the Town of Ogden, Spencerport is a welcoming Erie Canal village with a classic small-town feel. Home to around 3,600 residents, it offers a relaxed suburban lifestyle with easy access to city conveniences. Life in the village often revolves around the canal, where the lift bridge, local diners, coffee spots, and paved waterfront trails give the area plenty of character. Commuting is easy, too, with Route 531 and Route 31 providing a direct path into downtown Rochester, SUNY Brockport, and the surrounding region.

Families are often drawn to the well-regarded Spencerport Central School District and the area's spacious parks, such as Pineway Ponds Park. The village center takes care of everyday errands with local bakeries, pharmacies, and neighborhood businesses, while larger shopping centers, hospitals, and employers in neighboring Greece and Gates are only a short drive down the road. Community traditions like the annual Spencerport Canal Days festival bring neighbors together every summer, creating a friendly hometown atmosphere where it is easy to settle in.
