Spring Valley, OH

Spring Valley is a small, quiet village in Greene County, located about twenty miles southeast of Dayton. Home to around 400 people, the community was originally established by Quaker settlers in the 1840s and still retains its relaxed, rural character. Modest historic homes and local storefronts sit against a backdrop of open farmland, offering a calm pace of life that feels well removed from the surrounding metropolitan bustle.

Much of the area's modern appeal centers on outdoor recreation. The former rail corridor running through town has been converted into the Little Miami Scenic Trail, giving residents direct access to miles of paved biking and walking paths right outside their doors. Paired with nearby river access for kayaking and the Spring Valley Wildlife Area down the road, it is an appealing spot for anyone seeking countryside living within an easy drive of Xenia, Beavercreek, and Dayton.
