About Springerville

Springerville is a high-altitude town in Apache County, Arizona, situated in the White Mountains at an elevation of 6,907 feet. Along with its neighbor Eagar, the town forms the Round Valley community near the New Mexico border. Originally established around Henry Springer's trading post in 1876, the town hosts one of the nation's twelve historic Madonna of the Trail statues and lies near the Casa Malpaís archaeological site. The local economy is supported by the Springerville Generating Station, and schools are managed by the Round Valley Unified School District.
