Springville, UT

Known as “Art City,” Springville is home to the Springville Museum of Art, Utah’s oldest museum devoted to visual fine arts. The Utah County city is part of the Provo–Orem metropolitan area and sits on the west side of the Wasatch Range, roughly three miles east of Utah Lake and largely east of Interstate 15. Eight pioneer families led by Aaron Johnson settled the site in 1850. By 2020, Springville’s population reached 35,268. Each July, the weeklong World Folkfest brings international folk-dance groups to the outdoor amphitheater at Spring Acres Arts Park; the park also hosts the Indian Festival of Utah in May, focused on East Indian, Pakistani, and other South Asian communities.
