About St. Anthony

St. Anthony is the Fremont County seat, a city on the Henrys Fork of the Snake River and part of the Rexburg micropolitan area. The 2020 census counted 3,606 residents. U.S. Highway 20 connects the city with Rexburg, about ten miles to the southwest. Before St. Anthony was founded, Major Andrew Henry established a short-lived fort a few miles west; although the post was last used in 1811, his name remains on the river. The Greenway Trail follows the river's south side from near U.S. 20 and Bridge Street.
