St. Leonard, MD

St. Leonard is a Calvert County census-designated place between Prince Frederick and Solomons, with Maryland Routes 2 and 4 forming its western edge. The highways lead about six miles north to the county seat and 13 miles south to Solomons. Calvert Beach borders the community to the east and Long Beach lies to the southeast. St. Leonard's center has several small shops, gas stations, and an independent grocery store, giving the crossroads a service strip that serves the surrounding shoreline communities.

Several major regional places sit nearby. Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum, about seven miles south, occupies 570 acres along the Patuxent River, with archaeological sites, exhibits, trails, and the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory.
