St. Paul is a quiet, close-knit town in southeast Kansas with roots that stretch back well before Kansas became a state. Founded in 1847 as the Osage Mission along the Neosho River, the settlement grew around early mission schools before officially taking the name St. Paul in the 1890s. Even today, locals still embrace that heritage, giving this small rural community a strong sense of place and deep generational ties.
