Stouchsburg, PA

Stouchsburg is an unincorporated Berks County census-designated place in Marion Township, where the 2010 census counted 600 residents. Main Street sits just off US 422, three miles northwest of Womelsdorf and four miles east of Myerstown. The Conrad Weiser Area School District serves the community. Its setting is the farming country of western Berks, where the Tulpehocken Creek, old grist mills, stone bridges, and remnants of the Union Canal show how the township was organized before modern highways. Stone and log farmhouses still mark the township today.

The village's historic core includes the Stouchsburg Historic District and the Peter Spicker House, both listed on the National Register. Marion Township's history reaches back to settlers who arrived around 1723, and the township preserves local artifacts in rooms at its municipal building. Stouchsburg remains a compact crossroads village: Main Street carries the local line, US 422 connects the broader region, and the school district ties the community to neighboring farms and villages.
