Strawberry, AZ

Strawberry is an unincorporated census-designated community in Gila County, Arizona, situated along the edge of the Mogollon Rim. Bordered to the south by the community of Pine and to the north by the Coconino County line, the town offers a residential, high-country retreat for roughly one thousand residents. Historically, the area gained attention in 1931 when federal officers dismantled a massive whiskey still in nearby Sandrock Canyon. Local children attend public schools within the Pine Strawberry Elementary School District.
