About Subiaco

Subiaco is a small town in Logan County in the Arkansas River Valley. Its name comes from Subiaco Abbey, the Benedictine monastery located there, which helped shape the townsite and remains a major local institution along with Subiaco Academy. The town had 401 residents at the 2020 census and grew around railroad-era settlement in the early 1900s. Subiaco is tiny, but the abbey gives it a distinctive identity that many larger towns would envy.
