Summit, OK

Located just south of Muskogee, Summit is a quiet rural community with deep roots as one of Oklahoma's historic all-Black towns. Established around the turn of the 20th century along the railroad, the town once thrived as a bustling trade stop with its own train depot, cotton gin, and local shops. Today, it offers a peaceful, tight-knit setting of around a hundred residents surrounded by open farmland. Historic landmarks like the century-old St. Thomas Primitive Baptist Church preserve its storied past, while ongoing updates to local water infrastructure support the community today.
