Summit Park sits right at the crest of Parleys Summit along Interstate 80, perched around 7,000 feet between the Salt Lake Valley and Park City. Summit Park sees serious snowfall, so winter life requires a capable all-wheel-drive vehicle, dedicated winter tires, and a clear plan for clearing steep driveways. Fire safety is another everyday priority for residents. Because homes sit right up against thick timber, homeowners actively maintain defensible space around their properties by trimming brush and joining neighborhood chipping programs to keep the forest healthy and safe.

Even though the neighborhood feels tucked away in the woods, daily errands are remarkably convenient. Just a few minutes down the highway to the east lies Kimball Junction, home to grocery stores, casual restaurants, coffee shops, and the local county library. Free regional transit from the nearby Jeremy Ranch park-and-ride runs regular shuttles into Park City and the ski resorts, while Salt Lake City is only about twenty minutes down the canyon to the west. That straightforward highway connection makes Summit Park one of the most accessible true mountain communities in the Wasatch Back.
