About Sunrise Lake

Sunrise Lake is a Pike County CDP and private lake community in Dingman Township, eight miles west of the New Jersey line at the Delaware River. The name covers three lakes—Sunrise, Sprint, and Spruce—and a community road network that runs for 27 miles. Development began around 1964, when a lake was built from wetlands and the surrounding land was divided into homesites. More than 1,200 homes and lots now sit inside the association’s footprint, which formed in 2009. Route 739 is the spine to the outside world; the lakes are the internal map. Sunrise Lake is northeastern Pennsylvania as a planned water community, not a traditional borough.
