Just south of Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach is a relaxed coastal town with around 4,000 full-time residents. Known locally as "The Family Beach," it offers a calm, easygoing pace compared to the busier parts of the Grand Strand. Quiet residential streets lead straight down to the ocean, making it easy to cruise around in a golf cart, ride bikes with the kids, or walk over to the rebuilt fishing pier.

For newcomers, the town combines a tight-knit neighborhood feel with everyday convenience. You have access to solid Horry County schools, clean parks, and peaceful stretches of sand, with Highway 17 nearby for quick runs to grocery stores and medical centers. Plus, the famous seafood restaurants of Murrells Inlet are just down the road, giving you the best of coastal South Carolina without the heavy tourist crowds.
