About Susank

Susank is a Barton County city whose history combines Volga German settlement and railroad arrival. The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad line reached the community in 1919, a post office opened in 1921, and the city took its name from county official Ed Susank. The post office closed in 1991, while the former school, post office, gas station, and other business buildings remain part of the town's physical record.
