Susitna is a census-designated place in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, part of the Anchorage Metropolitan Area, with a population of 11 at the 2020 census. The community lies primarily on the west side of the Susitna River where it flows into Cook Inlet. Susitna was home to Shem Pete, a legendary Athabaskan elder and ethnologist whose documented knowledge of the Matanuska-Susitna region was published in Shem Pete's Alaska.
