Swarthmore, PA

Swarthmore is a Delaware County borough west of Philadelphia, best known for Swarthmore College. The borough took its current name after the college was established, and about a third of its land area is tied to the campus, giving the town an unusually academic and green feel for a small suburb. Swarthmore is served by the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District and has a compact village center near regional rail. It feels residential, educated, and leafy, with college grounds shaping much of the local character.
