Tanaina, AK

Tanaina is a census-designated place in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, about four miles north of Wasilla. It is part of the Anchorage metro in the practical Alaska sense: residential growth, larger lots, road access, and daily ties to the Wasilla-Palmer area. With fewer civic landmarks than a traditional city, Tanaina is best understood as a growing Mat-Su residential community rather than a standalone town center.
