Tangelo Park is a small, tucked-away neighborhood in Orange County, sitting just minutes from Orlando's bustling International Drive resort corridor. Originally built on land once covered in citrus groves, the community grew as a convenient home base for people working in the local tourism and aerospace industries. Today, with around 2,500 residents, it offers quiet residential streets right in the middle of Central Florida's biggest job centers, theme parks, and major highways.

What makes the community famous is the Tangelo Park Program, an extraordinary educational initiative founded by hotelier Harris Rosen in 1993. The program provides free preschool for young children and covers full college or vocational tuition for local high school graduates. Families have Tangelo Park Elementary and its neighboring community center right down the street, with older students attending Southwest Middle and Dr. Phillips High School. It remains a uniquely supportive neighborhood with opportunities that are hard to find anywhere else in the region.
