About Terre Hill
Terre Hill is a Lancaster County borough on high ground above the Weaverland Valley, with Pennsylvania Route 897 serving as Main Street. It was once called Fairville and became a borough in 1907 after residents won a court fight to separate from East Earl Township. The Terre Hill Days Committee donates its proceeds to borough maintenance, giving the annual event a practical local purpose. Terre Hill is an eastern Lancaster County place whose map is ridge, farm valley, and one straight north–south road.
