Three Lakes, MI

Three Lakes is a small, peaceful community of under 200 residents set in the lake country of Baraga County in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. True to its name, the town grew up around Beaufort, George, and Ruth lakes, originally springing to life in the late 1800s as an iron mining and railroad outpost. Today, the industrial rush is long gone, leaving behind a quiet lakeside haven filled with seasonal cabins, year-round homes, and towering pines.

For newcomers, daily life here revolves around the outdoors. You will find great fishing, boating, and kayaking right in your backyard, along with expansive snowmobile trail networks and the remote wilderness of Craig Lake State Park just to the north. While the area offers plenty of privacy and quiet, US-41 runs right through the community, making it easy to drive into L'Anse or Marquette for grocery runs, healthcare, and everyday errands.
