Tivoli, NY

Tivoli sits right at the northern tip of Dutchess County, tucked along the Hudson River inside the town of Red Hook. Home to roughly a thousand residents, it is a compact, easygoing village where everyday errands turn into casual chats on the sidewalk. Most of the action centers along Broadway, a walkable main street filled with independent cafes, bakeries, and neighborhood restaurants housed in well-preserved historic buildings.

A big part of what makes Tivoli distinct is its creative atmosphere, helped along by nearby Bard College, which draws students, professors, and artists into the village mix. When you want fresh air, the river is just down the hill at Tivoli Landing, with sweeping views of the Catskill Mountains across the water and miles of hiking trails throughout the nearby Tivoli Bays preserve. It gives newcomers a relaxed small-town rhythm alongside great food, scenic beauty, and a welcoming community.
