Todd Mission sits about fifty miles northwest of Houston in the quiet pine country of Grimes County along FM 1774. It started out at the turn of the twentieth century as a small sawmill stop along the railroad tracks. Today, it remains a tiny rural community where daily life moves at an easy pace among wooded lots and quiet country roads.

Everything changes every fall when the town hosts the massive Texas Renaissance Festival. For several weekends, hundreds of thousands of visitors flood in, temporarily turning this sleepy hideaway into a bustling hub of costumes, camping, and live entertainment. Once festival season wraps up, Todd Mission settles right back into its peaceful rhythm, giving residents quiet acreage living with an easy drive to nearby Navasota and the expanding suburbs along Highway 249.
