About Toronto

Toronto is a city in Jefferson County, Ohio, situated along the Ohio River north of Steubenville. Settled in the nineteenth century under the name Newburg's Landing and later renamed Sloanes Station before its incorporation, the port and industrial community of approximately 5,293 is served by the Toronto City School District for public education locally.
