Trimble, MO

Trimble is a quiet, small-town community in southwestern Clinton County, home to around 600 residents. Sitting along U.S. 169 about 35 miles north of downtown Kansas City, it gives locals a peaceful rural setting with a straightforward commute into the metro. The town is best known for its neighbor directly to the east, Smithville Lake. With boat ramps, trails, and quiet fishing spots like Honker Cove just minutes away, outdoor recreation is a big part of daily living here. Most local kids attend schools in the Clinton County R-III district in neighboring Plattsburg.

The town dates back to the mid-19th century, starting as a small trading post known as Carpenter's Store before growing around the railroad.
