Trimont, MN

Trimont is a quiet agricultural community of around 550 people in southern Minnesota's Martin County, situated along State Highway 4 between Sherburn and St. James. The town has an interesting history: it was formed in 1959 when two neighboring railroad settlements, Triumph and Monterey, decided to merge and blend their names. Because both original villages had grown around their own train depots, modern Trimont still features two separate Main Street districts located about half a mile apart.
