Trophy Club, TX

Trophy Club was designed from the beginning around a golf lifestyle. In the 1970s, developers planned a community centered on championship courses associated with golf legend Ben Hogan. Although the planned museum clubhouse was never built, the name Trophy Club stayed, and the fairway-lined layout defined the town. Officially incorporated in 1985, Trophy Club spans roughly four square miles in the northwest corner of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Today, it is a tight-knit community of around 13,700 residents who enjoy a quiet, friendly atmosphere with quick access to the rest of the metroplex.

Most residents own their homes, creating an established, well-tended neighborhood feel with golf-cart-friendly streets throughout. The town maintains a small commercial footprint to keep through-traffic low, but everyday grocery runs and dining spots are close at hand. Commuters enjoy direct access to State Highway 114, making trips to major corporate hubs in Westlake and Southlake, or flights out of DFW Airport, simple and fast. For expansive shopping centers, entertainment, and diverse restaurants, locals take a quick drive over to Roanoke or Southlake Town Square.

Outdoor recreation is anchored by Trophy Club Park, an 877-acre natural retreat sitting on the western shore of Grapevine Lake. Managed by the town, the park gives locals a sprawling outdoor space right in their backyard. Visitors can explore miles of wooded hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, launch a boat or kayak on the water, play disc golf, or bring motorized toys to the designated off-road vehicle area. It offers a great mix of lake activities, birdwatching, and open scenery just minutes from residential subdivisions.

Closer to home, the town offers great spots to stay active and gather with neighbors. Harmony Park features dedicated pickleball courts, while Independence Park provides baseball fields, tennis courts, and open play areas for kids. The renovated town pool serves as a popular summer hub, complete with splash zones, shaded pavilions, and sun decks for residents and their guests. Many locals also join the private Trophy Club Country Club for golf, tennis, and social events.
