About Troutdale

Troutdale is a Multnomah County city east of Portland, immediately north of Gresham and near the Sandy River. It serves as the western gateway to the Historic Columbia River Highway, which gives the city a strong connection to the Columbia River Gorge. The community was once known as Sandy, after the nearby river, before the Troutdale name took hold. Today Troutdale mixes small downtown character, gorge tourism, Portland-Troutdale Airport, and quick access to outdoor landmarks such as waterfalls, trails, and the Columbia River.
