Tupelo, MS

Tupelo is a northeast Mississippi city and the county seat of Lee County, with about thirty-eight thousand residents. It is best known nationally as Elvis Presley's birthplace, but it also functions as a regional hub for shopping, health care, manufacturing, and civic life. Founded in 1860, Tupelo has grown into one of Mississippi's more recognizable small cities. Its downtown, arts presence, and musical history give it a stronger identity than population size alone suggests.
