Tuttletown is a quiet foothill community located along Highway 49 in Tuolumne County, just minutes from Sonora and Columbia State Historic Park. First settled during the 1848 Gold Rush and named for early resident Judge Anson Tuttle, the area even claims Mark Twain as a former patron of its old general store.
