Valley Forge, TN

Valley Forge is an unincorporated Carter County community along U.S. 19E/321 and State Route 67, south of Elizabethton and north of Hampton. The roads place it in the chain of settlements leading through the Appalachian foothills, with Elizabethton supplying the nearby city center. The name belongs to a place shaped by regional travel and a cluster of churches, with no separate municipal downtown.

Valley Forge Christian Church is the community's clearest landmark, and Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church carries an older local history: its congregation formed in 1930 at the old log church, and its current campus includes The Forge, a space for fellowship gatherings, youth activities, meetings, and events. Church calendars and U.S. 19E/321 make up much of the visible local map. The congregations also run recurring worship and youth programs throughout the year. Valley Forge is a small Tennessee crossroads where a major highway and long-running congregations keep the community connected to the Carter County places around it.
