Valley Park, MO

Tucked along the Meramec River in west St. Louis County, Valley Park offers a quiet, small-town atmosphere about 30 minutes southwest of downtown St. Louis. With convenient access to both Interstate 44 and Highway 141, commuting across the metro area is easy. The river shapes much of the town's identity, giving residents plenty of waterfront green spaces and outdoor spots alongside everyday suburban convenience.

Locals love having the National Museum of Transportation right in their backyard, where visitors can spend the day exploring historic train engines, streetcars, and classic automobiles. Outdoor recreation is another big draw, with Meramec Landing and nearby trails offering easy spots for boating, fishing, and weekend walks. Families moving to the area will find a close-knit setup in the local Valley Park School District, though depending on the neighborhood, some homes are also zoned for the neighboring Parkway or Rockwood districts.
