Van Alstyne, TX

Van Alstyne is a rapidly growing city in Grayson and Collin counties, Texas. Founded in 1873 along the Houston and Texas Central Railway by settlers from nearby Mantua, the community of approximately 5,952 was named for Marie Van Alstyne, a prominent railroad shareholder. Public education is served by the Van Alstyne Independent School District.
