Veazie is a town in Penobscot County, Maine, situated along the Penobscot River immediately north of Bangor. Named after lumber baron General Samuel Veazie and historically utilizing river power for early sawmill operations, the suburban residential community of approximately 1,847 is served by the Veazie School Department, hosting the Veazie Community School locally today.
