Vermillion, MN

Vermillion is a small Dakota County city built around the Vermillion River, roughly midway between the farm towns south of the Twin Cities and the Mississippi corridor near Hastings. Main Street, Fischer Avenue, and Goodwin Avenue form the local street grid, while U.S. Highway 52 and Northfield Boulevard connect the city to the larger road network. The river is more than a name: its watershed runs through central Dakota County, with farmland, wetlands, and growing communities sharing the same drainage.

The river also gives Vermillion its best nearby connections.
