Village of Oak Creek (Big Park), AZ

Village of Oak Creek, also known historically as Big Park, is an unincorporated Yavapai County community about seven miles from Sedona. It functions partly as a bedroom community for Sedona, but the setting gives it its own pull: red-rock buttes, nearby Bell Rock, and Coconino National Forest all sit close at hand. Tourism, retirees, and second-home owners shape much of the local economy. The area is also recognized as a Dark Sky Community, which fits its open high-desert setting.
