About Vinita Park
Vinita Park is a compact St. Louis County city just east of I-170 and south of St. Charles Rock Road, with a history tied to a vanished transit stop. The name comes from Vinita Station, an electric rail car station at Midland and Page; the subdivision was laid out in 1905 and marketed in the early twentieth century. Vinita Park became a village in 1941, a fourth-class city in 1950, and merged with neighboring Vinita Terrace in 2017. Today the city runs along Midland Boulevard and Page Avenue, with local parks, public works, and the shared North County Police Cooperative shaping municipal services. Normandy, Ritenour, and University City school districts divide the community.
