Violet is a census-designated place in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, situated along the Mississippi River southeast of New Orleans. Developing from the historic Livaudais Plantation and serving as the site of the proposed Louisiana International Terminal container port, the coastal community of approximately 4,122 is served by St. Bernard Parish Public Schools locally.
