About Wabbaseka
Settled among the quiet bayous and wide-open farmland of the Arkansas Delta, Wabbaseka is a small, easygoing community with deep ties to state history. The town got its start in the 1880s as a railway stop and farming hub, and it still keeps that calm, rural rhythm today. Highways 63 and 79 run right through the area, making trips to nearby Pine Bluff or Little Rock pretty straightforward. Wabbaseka is also well known as the birthplace of the Arkansas state flag, designed right here by local resident Willie Kavanaugh Hocker.
