About Wahpeton

Wahpeton is a city and the county seat of Richland County, North Dakota, situated at the confluence of the Bois de Sioux and Otter Tail rivers. Founded in 1869 and home to both Chahinkapa Zoo and North Dakota State College of Science, the community of approximately 8,010 is served by the Wahpeton Public School District for public primary and secondary education.
