Wainwright is a town in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, United States. The 2020 census counted 93 residents. Wainwright was named for a local merchant, William Henry Wainwright. Wainwright is in western Muskogee County, 17 miles southwest of Muskogee, the county seat, and 12 miles north of Checotah.
