Wanamassa, NJ

Wanamassa is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Ocean Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey, named for Wanamassa, a seventeenth-century Native American leader. The community of approximately 4,300 is situated in southeastern Ocean Township, bordered to the east by Interlaken and to the southeast by the city of Asbury Park. Public education is administered by the Ocean Township School District.
