Wanchese, NC

Located on the southern tip of Roanoke Island, Wanchese is a quiet, down-to-earth fishing village in North Carolina's Outer Banks. Home to around 2,000 residents, the community has centuries of history and takes its name from the Roanoke leader who met the region's first English explorers in the 1500s.
