Warsaw, MO

Warsaw sits in Benton County in central Missouri, tucked right where Truman Lake and the upper end of Lake of the Ozarks meet along the Osage River. Once the farthest navigable port for steamboats heading up the river, the area grew into a relaxed lake town after the dams were built in the 20th century. Today, the historic downtown and county courthouse sit just blocks from the water, with U.S. 65 and Missouri 7 making it easy to travel around the region.

Life in town naturally centers on the water, especially at Drake Harbor right next to downtown. The harbor offers public boat ramps, a playground, and an interconnected trail system with about nine miles of paved paths linking the shoreline to local shops. With Harry S. Truman State Park just minutes away, it is easy to wrap up everyday errands and head straight out to fish, boat, or walk the trails before dinner.
