About Waukesha
Waukesha is a Fox River city west of Milwaukee, long known for springs, industry, and a sturdy county-seat feel. Carroll College hosted St. Louis University in 1906 in what became an important early forward-pass football game, giving Waukesha a small but real sports-history claim. The city has a historic downtown, major employers, neighborhoods, and a strong suburban Milwaukee role. Waukesha feels independent of Milwaukee but connected to it, with river walks, older buildings, and busy west-suburban growth all mixed together.
