Weatherford, OK

Weatherford is a city in Custer County, Oklahoma, situated seventy miles west of Oklahoma City. Traversed by historic Route 66 along Main Street, the community of approximately 12,000 is best known as the home of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, established in 1901. The city features the Stafford Air and Space Museum, which houses the historic Gemini 6A spacecraft, and is served by the Weatherford Public School District.
