About West Alexandria
West Alexandria was laid out in 1818 and takes its name from founder William Alexander, but the village's current identity is easy to spot on the calendar. Peace Park hosts an Oktoberfest with music, food, crafts, and antique cars, then turns into Santa's Villa in December. Twin Valley Community Local Schools keeps its PK-12 campus in the village, and the Preble County library branch gives the town another everyday gathering place. West Alexandria is a small Preble County village east of Dayton where the school, park, and Main Street events do most of the work of introducing you to the place.
