West Lebanon, IN

West Lebanon is a town in Pike Township, Warren County, west of the Wabash River and close to the Illinois line. The 2020 census counted 678 residents. State Road 263 follows High Street through town and meets State Road 28 at the north edge, while Rock Creek runs east toward the Wabash. The town sits in open west-central Indiana farm country, with Warren Central Elementary and Seeger Memorial Junior-Senior High School about a mile and a half north.

Ebenezer Purviance, John G. Jemison, and Andrew Fleming laid out West Lebanon in the fall of 1830, drawing 64 lots. Industry remains part of the local map: Tru-Flex Metal Hose has made flexible metal hose here since 1962, and Dyna-Fab works in metal stampings and weldments. The West Lebanon Patriot Festival fills the last weekend of September with a parade, vendors, live music, cake walks, and the fire department’s water-ball competition. The town’s calendar and its factories give the old Wabash-side crossroads a current rhythm.
